These website terms

These Website Terms govern access to and use of the public BotKelp website, including the component registry. They apply whether or not you have an account. Account features (keys, credits, projects) are also covered by the Terms of Service.

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The site

The site lets you browse component manifests and generated files, sign in, and manage an account. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the site without notice.

The registry is a snapshot of individual components. Components are added and removed over time. We do not publish complete generated applications on GitHub or on this site.

Licence to use the site

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to load and use the site for your own evaluation and to build software with the components, in line with these terms and the Terms of Service.

You may not copy the site’s branding, scrape the registry in a way that impairs the service, or present BotKelp material as your own platform.

Intellectual property

The BotKelp name, kelp mark, and site design are ours. Individual component source is published at github.com/botkelp under a limited-use licence so you can copy it into your own projects. That catalog is component source only — we do not publish assembled project builds. Underlying open-source projects named in a component keep their own licences, which you must respect in anything you distribute.

Catalog integrity

MCP generate copies component files from the published catalog. Before those files are returned we check that each catalog file still matches its published SHA-256 after our stamp is removed. Unknown component ids and extra files outside INTEGRITY.json are rejected. Subscriber licence and policy text is not written into shared template repos; it is returned separately via get_site_profile as document bodies. Hashes and the delivery verdict are listed on the Integrity page and in INTEGRITY.json with each generate. A matching hash means the bytes are the catalog we publish — it is not a warranty that a component is free of defects or safe for a particular use.

Accuracy

Registry descriptions, versions, and sample files are provided as-is. We do not warrant that a component is fit for a particular production use, is free of defects, or matches the upstream project at the moment you read it. You should review generated files before you ship them.

Acceptable use of the site

You must not attack, overload, or probe the site; bypass access controls; plant malware; or use the site in a way that is unlawful in your jurisdiction. Automated access that stays within a reasonable rate and identifies itself is allowed; anything that degrades the service is not.

Linking

You may link to public pages of the site in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or suggest endorsement. We may withdraw linking permission.

Liability for the website

The public website is offered free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude liability for loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the public pages. This does not affect liability that cannot be excluded, or your rights as a consumer.

Law

These Website Terms are governed by Irish law. Consumers keep any mandatory local rights.
